Ami Taf Ra

LA-based artist Ami Taf Ra draws on her Moroccan heritage to create a bold, boundary-crossing sound that fuses Arabic musical traditions, jazz improvisation, and gospel-infused harmonies. Singing in Arabic, French, and English, she explores the meeting point of cultures, languages, and spiritual traditions, crafting music that transcends genre and geography.

Now part of the pioneering Brainfeeder label, her work reflects a fearless, globally minded approach to composition and performance. A frequent collaborator with visionary saxophonist and composer Kamasi Washington, she has worked with a stellar line-up of musicians, including trombonist Ryan Porter, saxophonist Rickey Washington, percussionist Kahlil Cummings, bassist Ben Williams, drummer Jonathan Pinson, and pianist Jamael Dean.

Her compositions and performances are cinematic, immersive, and deeply textured. Expect an evening of virtuosic jazz, dynamic interplay, and powerful storytelling through sound.
