Darbar: Harrisan & Anushan Mohanarajah

Enjoy the magic of Carnatic flute and mridangam with brothers Harrisan and Anushan Mohanarajah, known as 2Flutes, joined by Ram Sivasubramaniam on mridangam.

Experience the soaring, voice-like melodies of the Carnatic flute woven around driving rhythmic patterns, in a conversation of tradition, emotion and artistry. Harrisan and Anushan Mohanarajah are a London-based flute duo, admired for moving between classical tradition and contemporary music with ease, their flutes echo, answer and entwine, bringing a rare closeness to the Carnatic duet.

They are joined by Ram Sivasubramaniam (Ram Siva), a mridangam player from London's Carnatic scene, who provides the rhythmic heartbeat of the performance, responding to the flutes in real time.

Hosted in the Barbican Centre foyer, this free event is part of the Darbar Festival 2026, open to all and perfect for music lovers of every background.

While enjoying the concert, explore the Darbar Pop-Up Market with Indian fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products from 11:00 – 20:00.
