About the Event

Few singers have done more than Juliet Fraser to promote the cause of what she calls the ‘gnarly edges’ of contemporary classical music. She brings Morton Feldman’s Three Voices to life, singing one part live while interacting with her recording of the work’s two other lines. The piece, written in 1982 for Joan La Barbara, entrances with its largely textless incantations and haunting treatment of words from Frank O’Hara’s poem Wind.
