Creature. presents a fusion of club-ready jazz and broken beat, ready for London dancefloors.
Creature. (AKA Jim Cornelissen) is a drummer, composer and producer presents his immersive, rhythm-led vibrations take elements from hip-hop, electronic and jazz-funk culture, inspired by his worldwide travels as a sideman.
Perhaps best known for his work as a session player for emerging artists like Yaya Bey, Katie Tupper and Brighter Days Family, Creature. (AKA Jim Cornelissen) cites Yussef Dayes and Alfa Mist as influences, as well as footwork producer Machinedrum, Flying Lotus and Terrace Martin.
Every Friday and Saturday night from 11.15pm, Ronnie Scott’s presents the Late Late Show, where some of the UK’s finest jazz talent takes to the stage for a late-night blowing session. The music includes a range of music influenced by jazz-funk, soul, R&B and hip hop. A DJ will play sets before and after the live sets.
Most tickets for the Late Late Show will be available at the door if advance tickets have sold out.
