Join us for an unforgettable brunch, conversation and music as Nikki Iles, one of the UK’s most celebrated jazz pianists, composers, and arrangers, takes centre stage. Fresh from sparring with James Pearson in a thrilling two-piano, four-handed showdown, Nikki brings her trademark elegance and creativity to our stage.
With a career spanning collaborations with Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, Stan Sulzman, Claire Martin, and the much-missed Tina May, Nikk is a knowledgeable and witty talker, on top of her musical brilliance. In 2021 Iles was awarded the Ivor Novello Jazz Composition Award for her work The Caged Bird. In 2025 Iles was announced as the new principal conductor of Hamburg's NDR Big Band.
Alongside Nikki - and asking the questions - is our host and Ronnie Scott’s Radio Show presenter, the incomparable Ian Shaw, multi-award-winning vocalist and master storyteller.
