Bassist, composer and bandleader Or Bareket is one of the leading figures of his generation on the New York jazz scene. His playing combines a distinctive lyricism with rhythmic dexterity and a strong sense of groove, while his compositions bring together North African and Latin American folk traditions, Black American music and the influences of the contemporary jazz musicians he works alongside.
