One of the most exciting projects on the London scene, Queenstown Collective combines cosmic soundscapes, strong melodies, and driving grooves inspired by Kamasi Washington, Yussef Dayes, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Jordan Rakei.
Fresh off the back of their Debut EP 'Grapefruit' release in early 2026, they have already received acclaim from Jazz FM, BBC Radio 3, Worldwide FM & One Jazz, in addition to sold out shows at venues such as PizzaExpress Live, and appearances at Love Supreme Festival and other London venues.
Individually, the members of the band are some of the most in-demand players on the UK Jazz scene, playing for the likes of Joe Armon-Jones, Theon Cross, Nubiyan Twist, Cherise, Elmiene and more. Together, they combine their influences into this exciting new project as they establish themselves as one of the most exciting up and coming jazz bands in London.
A collective born out of a Brixton jam night, and regular collaborators with artists such as Joe Armon-Jones, Theon Cross, Nubiyan Twist, Elmiene & Cherise, Queenstown Collective hit the ground running with their first full body of work. ’Grapefruit’ firmly establishes the band’s versatile and bold musicality, balancing strong songwriting and production with seamless technical skill. It is unique and immediately memorable, continuing to cement the band as a force in the modern Jazz landscape.
The lead single ‘Grapefruit (ft. JSPHYNX)’ bursts into life with a distinctive groove and explosive melody line, locking you in from the off. It takes you into a signature, uplifting solo from featured artist JSPHYNX (a regular in Alfa Mist’s band), before a performance from keyboardist Eddie Lee that feels like a homecoming. The perfect opening, leaving you poised with excitement for the rest of the EP.

But the flavours vary, from the sweet to the bitter and the complex, as we document our experience of living in the capital’s music scene and all it has to offer’ .
With an impressive list of features on this EP, and fresh off the back of their latest show at Ronnie Scott’s, support from Love Supreme & EFG Jazz Festival, as well as acclaim from Jazz FM, Worldwide Fm, BBC Radio 3, Soho Radio & One Jazz on their first three singles, ‘Grapefruit’ lands with a bang. Queenstown Collective prove again that they are ones to watch.
