Shostakovich’s ‘Babi Yar’ Symphony and Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw

Two powerful musical monuments: Shostakovich’s Thirteend Symphony ‘Babi Yar’ and Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw, confront us with the past. Principal cellist Gregor Horsch performs as soloist with the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Weinberg’s Fantasy for Cello and Orchestra.
