The Hot Club of Jupiter

Showcasing their third album Copacallisto, burning jazz-manouche ensemble The Hot Club Of Jupiter bring entertaining tales of interstellar (mis)adventure told through the medium of Reinhardt/Grappelli swing, New Orleans grooves and gravity-defying carnival samba.

The Hot Club of Jupiter was formed to provide the music for the 2013 Renault Clio online ad campaign, which judged too lewd for public consumption and was promptly withdrawn. The band, however, lives on - playing their unique mix of Reinhardt and Grappelli inspired gypsy swing, hot jazz, New Orleans grooves, Brazilian carnival samba, French surrealism and Sci-Fi inspired soundscapes that take you on a musical journey through space and time!

The band enjoy a busy touring and performing schedule and are regulars at both London jazz venues and on the swing dance circuit. Previous highlights include sold outs gigs at London’s Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express Dean Street, The London Jazz Festival, Cadogan Hall, The Sacconi Festival, a BBC Radio 3 live session and a mammoth 8 gigs in 3 days at the Cork Jazz Festival.
