Its programme embraces the inspiring energy of Scottish traditional music and its expression through two irresistible works by Judith Weir. Wigmore Hall’s survey of Scotland’s composers also embraces the edgy soundworlds of Thea Musgrave’s Night Windows, inspired by a famous Edward Hopper painting, and I am Prometheus, Stuart MacRae’s compassionate portrait of a tragically flawed Greek hero.
