A Winter's Tale, a Solstice Journey

An evening of classical music and poetry readings to take you on a journey through the winter solstice and the reflective feelings it evokes, featuring music by Pärt, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Sibelius.

This is the second concert by new chamber orchestra, The London Virtuosi Ensemble (LoVE), featuring a presentation of words and music on a common theme, in collaboration with Estonian award-winning solo violinist Hans Christian Aarvik and under the baton of Rachael Montesino Young.

Music invoking a reflective winter solstice atmosphere is combined with readings taken from literature and poetry addressing the emotions present at this magical time of year.

This event will last approximately 2 hours, including an interval.
