Jamie Safir: Momentism

Drawing on a wealth of musical influences from the melodic lyricism of Bill Evans and Michel Legrand alongside the post-bop rhythms of Wynton Kelly and Ahmad Jamal, Momentism is a collection of original jazz and neo-classical compositions inspired by a ten-year career collaborating with some of the world’s great vocalists and artists including Laufey, Kylie Minogue, Ian Shaw, Mica Paris, Will Young, Judi Jackson, Natalie Williams, Claire Martin, Clare Teal, Jessie Ware & Birdy.

Whilst in residence at Ronnie Scott’s plush new upstairs venue (almost) every single Wednesday this year, Jamie has performed over 100 shows there, whilst under the alias Emmanuel Sapphire, his original piano music has been streamed over 70 million times all over the world.
