Songlines – Stories in Song and Jazz brings together a high-calibre UK quintet led by the dynamic jazz and soul vocalist Liane Carroll, widely regarded as one of the world’s finest singers.

Carroll brings her long-term collaboration with Whirlwind recording artists pianist Simon Purcell (Red Rodney, Kenny Wheeler, Eddie Henderson) and award-winning saxophonist Julian Siegel (Andrew Hill, Hermeto Pascoal, Django Bates, John Taylor) to the stage, combining experience, imagination, and expressive depth.

Together, the quintet delivers an evening of hard-swinging jazz, reimagining the Great American Songbook alongside compositions by the jazz masters. Every performance blends sensitivity, virtuosity, and tight ensemble interplay, making Songlines a celebration of both song and improvisation.
