Beethoven! Ronald Brautigam plays piano works by Beethoven (part 3)

With numerous performances at The Concertgebouw, Ronald Brautigam, who was awarded the Concertgebouw Medal in 2024, is a fixture on Van Baerlestraat. Over three afternoons in the Recital Hall, he will devote himself to Beethoven's works for piano, which he calls 'the bible for pianists'. This afternoon, the last piano sonata and the Diabelli Variations on a modern grand piano. 'Beethoven shows here how you can build an enormous work from one little waltz, as if you were squeezing ten bottles of limoncello from a single lemon'.
