Berlin-based drummer, composer, and producer Peter Gall is widely regarded as one of the leading German jazz drummers of his generation.

After studying jazz drums in Berlin and New York, he has performed with internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles across Europe and beyond. As an in-demand studio musician, Peter has contributed to more than 50 albums, working across jazz, pop, and indie music. He also serves as Professor of Jazz Drums at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts.

His latest album, LOVE AVATAR, was awarded the German Jazz Prize 2025 for ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
There’s already a lot of buzz surrounding his brand-new album DRUM SEEDS, which puts the drums and original beats in the spotlight. But that’s only how it seems at first glance. Peter Gall’s new solo album is much more than just a drum statement.

In his solo show, he presents solo drums and improvisation, with a strong focus on irresistible grooves and trippy beats with a highly emotional and human pulse, alongside material from his latest release DRUM SEEDS (+ very new stuff). Although this is a one-man show with the drums at its center, it also features song-like structures with deep harmonies, catchy melodies and hooklines, and sometimes even orchestral soundscapes that open up new worlds, paired with a great deal of melancholy.
