Harlem Shuffle

Gary Crosby's monthly Crazy Coqs residency continues with a special guest host as acclaimed pianist Alex Ho steps into the bandleader chair.

Bringing his own interpretation of the Harlem vibe to the Crazy Coqs stage, Alex Ho will be joined by some of the finest emerging London jazz talent, all mentored by the Godfather of UK Jazz, Mister Gary Crosby.

Alex Ho will be joined by Maddy Coombs (saxophone), Aleks Dimitrova (bass) and Miranda Redford (drums) as they take inspiration from the 20s swing sound of Ellington and embark on a journey through to the hard bop scene of the 50s when Harlem was the cradle of jazz creativity for the world.

As always, Harlem Shuffle is a celebration of the hedonism of the jazz club scene - hard beats, heavy grooves and a crowd that wanted to move!
