Berliner Philharmoniker Ensembles

Few sounds evoke Christmas more vividly than those of brass instruments. For decades, the brass section of the Berliner Philharmoniker has cultivated a distinctive sound that is at once warm, festive and richly nuanced. This programme traces more than 400 years of atmospheric Christmas music, from the festive Baroque splendour of Giovanni Gabrieli via classical works by Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert to Romantic and modern compositions. And of course, no Christmas programme would be complete without beloved carols.
