Success Express Music continues to introduce exciting independent artists to new audiences for them to discover, at PizzaExpress Live. We are so excited to present a rising star, Belfast jazz pianist Zak Irvine and his quartet.

Belfast-based jazz pianist and bandleader Zak Irvine is a rising force in the contemporary jazz scene, blending the rigor of a classical foundation with a sophisticated, modern improvisational edge. Originally from Bangor, Zak has quickly transitioned from a young prodigy to a refined stylist known for his technical precision and evocative emotional depth.

Zak’s momentum is undeniable, having recently commanded the stage at the Brilliant Corners Jazz Festival and delivered a string of sold-out performances at premier venues including The Courthouse and Scott’s Jazz Bar. His distinctive voice as both a performer and composer has already caught the ear of the industry's elite; his music was recently featured on BBC Radio 2, earning high praise from Jamie Cullum, who remarked: "Love the playing on this and I love the composition."

Bringing his project ‘Before Dusk and Dawn’ to the iconic PizzaExpress Live Chelsea, Zak explores the space between shadow and light through complex harmonies and fluid storytelling. This London debut showcases a talent that is as much about the intellectual beauty of the arrangement as it is about the raw energy of the moment.

Two-time winners of the Italian National Conservatory Festival (2016 & 2026), the trio has released Farina del Mio Sacco and also appears on bassist Davide Di Camillo’s acclaimed album Patchwork. Performing at prestigious festivals across Italy and abroad, they deliver an electrifying live experience fueled by energy, groove and virtuosity.
