About the Event
In 2022, Cassius released his debut singles “LDN” and “AKWAABA,” the latter receiving strong support through the BBC Introducing network and gaining airplay on the BBC Radio London programme hosted by Robert Elms, curated by Jess Iszatt. Building on that momentum, he released his anticipated debut album SANKOFA in August 2023 — an 8-track project showcasing his genre-crossing approach and artistic vision. The album earned further recognition across BBC Radio platforms and introduced listeners to Cassius’ immersive blend of rhythm, melody and storytelling.
Continuing to evolve creatively, Cassius released the single “L.A. Sunsets I” in 2025, accompanied by a music video filmed in Los Angeles (2027). The single marked the beginning of a new chapter and serves as the first single from his forthcoming second album, scheduled for release in 2027. Ahead of this, Cassius has announced a new 5-track EP arriving in September 2026, featuring material he will showcase before performing at the EFG London Jazz Festival this November.
