From Budapest to Yerevan — Astrig Siranossian, Idlikó Szabó + JongNBE

Early and contemporary Hungarian and Armenian music

The French-Armenian cellist Astrig Siranossian and the Hungarian cellist Ildikó Szabó take the audience on a journey through their countries of origin. They bring (very) early music as well as new compositions. The lauded arrangers of the Netherlands Wind Ensemble join forces with the cellists and JongNBE for a semi-theatrical performance.

This musical tale highlights the common ground as well as the contrasts between Armenian and Hungarian music. Two rich, musical cultures meet and strengthen each other.
