YULIANNA AVDEEVA — Bach: The Well-tempered Clavier – Book I

A few years ago during the pandemic, Yulianna Avdeeva began a series of weekly live streams on the preludes and fugues from Bach’s Well-tempered Clavier, which reached an audience of more than half a million listeners. At the Pierre Boulez Saal, where she is heard with two different solo programs this season, she now performs the first book of this era-defining masterwork, which brought a whole new world of sonic and creative possibilities to the keyboard repertoire.
