About the Event

Experience the vibrant sounds of Trinidad & Tobago with Marlon the Pannist. Joined by a dynamic mixed-instrument ensemble, he celebrates the rich heritage of the steelpan through original compositions, imaginative arrangements and infectious Caribbean rhythms.

Marlon the Pannist takes audiences on a musical journey centred on the steelpan, an instrument born in Trinidad & Tobago and now heard around the world.

Through a programme spanning styles, sounds and generations, Marlon brings the musical traditions of Trinidad & Tobago into conversation with a mixed-instrument ensemble, paying homage to the instrument, the culture that shaped it and the musicians who continue to expand its possibilities today.

Expect rhythm, melody, energy and storytelling, all heard through the unique voice of the steelpan.

Come and experience the journey.

This event will last approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, including the interval.
