Vanessa Forero

Vibrant and engaging, with a hundred stories to tell, English/Colombian Vanessa Forero has been composing since childhood - writing for film & TV, winning best score for sci-fi movie ABE, had music broadcast on major channels & cinema screens worldwide, worked with the Liverpool Philharmonic & had music picked up by Universal Music.

Since the scoring industry took a turn, Forero decided to make a shift to live music, where she found community in musicianship and audience, finding her own voice and own whimsical life. She has written, played & produced every one of her own records so far, toured the US, Colombia and completed two sell-out tours in the UK last year.

She has been featured on Ben Fogles: New Lives In The Wild, where we got to see her self-built home in the mountains of Colombia. She’s also co-author of the bestselling book written about her mother: "The Girl With No Name", which became National Geographic documentary: "Woman Raised By Monkeys", for which Forero scored part of the soundtrack.

Vanessa will be performing a unique anduplifting solo piano show especially for PizzaExpress Live, a chance to hear her share some of her very strong soul and gospel influences and favourite classics, as well as her own amazing songwriting.
