Swedish jazz fusion and progressive music duo Mats/Morgan bring their long-running project to Ronnie Scott’s, joined by Dirty Loops bassist Henrik Linder for a special expanded line-up.

Mats Öberg and Morgan Ågren have been making music together since the early 1980s, developing a highly individual sound that moves between jazz, experimental rock, classical music and improvisation. Keyboard player Öberg is known for his extraordinary improvisational ability, while drummer Ågren has built an international reputation for his remarkable technique and precision, having performed with Frank Zappa, Magma, Devin Townsend and Adrian Belew.

Henrik Linder has established himself as one of Sweden’s leading electric bass players through his work with the internationally acclaimed trio Dirty Loops. His playing combines virtuosic solos, powerful grooves and precise interplay, making him a natural addition to Mats/Morgan’s highly rhythmic and unpredictable sound.

Together, they move between intricate rhythmic interplay, heavy grooves and free improvisation, with virtuosity always serving the music. As Frank Zappa put it: “They played unbelievably, just unbelievably.”
