Join Denver Cuss and her band for a night of 1960s-inspired soul and classic R&B. Backed by some of the finest touring musicians in London, Denver will treat you to a night of soulful songs and the stories behind their conception. After a summer of touring and studio sessions, Denver will relish the opportunity to zero in on this rare London show with a full band.
Denver Cuss is an Irish, London-based musician who has been writing and performing across the UK and Europe for the last decade. Having won multiple awards at the London College of Music where she studied Jazz Vocals, Denver set her sights on a more mid-century sound. Taking inspiration from artists like Ruby Johnson, The Impressions, Thee Sinseers and Michelle David, Denver wrote and recorded an album and a slew of singles. Denver’s music delves into the mid-century world of heartfelt lyrics, underscored by a soulful rhythm section and 60s girl group backing vocals.
Cuss’ debut album was featured in a two-page spread on German Rolling Stone Magazine and her latest singles, which were recorded all live and to tape, have been extensively featured on Craig Charles’ Funk & Soul Show, Kent Radio and Soho Radio.
