Musethica is a music education project with a strong social focus. Established in 2012 by violist and educator Avrie Levitan, it is now active in 15 countries. It focuses on educating young and talented instrumentalists so that their interpretations of chamber music are characterized not only by high artistic value but also by strong communicative power. Each Musethica session consists of fixed components: intensive workshops, during which a tutor selected by the Musethica program works with the participants of that session, and performances of the prepared program in venues where concerts are not typically held, such as nursing homes, hospitals, social service centers, and educational institutions. Close contact with the audience and the opportunity to share impressions allow people to experience the power of art as a means of communication and conveying emotions. The project changes the way music is perceived on both sides of this communication: among the audience and among the artists performing for them.

During the eighth Warsaw edition of Musethica, a group of young instrumentalists is working under the guidance of the outstanding Polish violinist Paweł Zalejski, the first violinist of the Apollon Musagète Quartett. For the first time, the project’s final concert will take place in the Chamber Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic.
