Legendary jazz drummer Billy Cobham and his band Time Machine join us for a special performance, featuring classics from his catalogue alongside iconic jazz standards. Billy Cobham is one of the most influential drummers in jazz. His work with Miles Davis and the Mahavishnu Orchestra played a defining role in the development of jazz fusion and continues to shape modern music. His recordings have been widely sampled in hip hop and electronic music, extending his influence far beyond the jazz world. Now in his 80s, Cobham remains an active and compelling live performer. Following a well-reviewed show at Union Chapel last year, he appears in our Hall as part of his ongoing European tour, performing with a full live band and drawing on music from his catalogue alongside jazz and soul standards.
