Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival

Wigmore Hall’s commitment to contemporary music is shared by the Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival, which draws world-class artists to the East Sussex village for nine days every June. Mark Simpson’s new score for violin duo is paired with Alchymia, a rapt clarinet quintet that grows from the alchemical experiments of Elizabethan London to end in a spine-tingling transformation of the barrel-organ tune from Alban Berg’s Lulu.
