Late Late Electronic hosted by Chiminyo

London-based drummer, percussionist, and electronic producer Chiminyo presents a strictly improvised set of high-octane, jazz-infused beats and grooves with some of the finest musicians from across the electronic and jazz spectrum. Celebrated as "one of the real hidden forces in UK jazz" over recent years, Chiminyo combines the raw, immediate live sound of percussion and the futuristic timbres of his electronic productions to create a night of improvised groove & spontaneous energy. Chiminyo performs and records with some of the leading figures of the London music scene, including spiritual jazz-leaning outfit Maisha and psychedelic energy bomb Cykada. He has also collaborated and recorded with Gary Bartz, Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, Theon Cross, and Zara McFarlane. Critically-acclaimed by the likes of Gilles Peterson, BBC 1Xtra and Jazz FM, he won the Jazz FM Digital Award 2020 and his track ‘Kandy Lanx’ was nominated for a 2020 Worldwide FM Award.
