About the Event
Sorvina is a New York-born, Berlin-based artist whose music is rooted in storytelling and shaped by movement, memory, and identity. With a sound that bridges jazz rap, neo-soul, gospel, and alternative hip-hop, Sorvina crafts songs that feel both personal and expansive, tapping into the emotional weight of lived experience while inviting listeners to find their own reflections in her words.
At the heart of Sorvina’s music is a deep love of live performance and the traditions of Black music, brought together with a voice and perspective entirely her own. Whether performing with a full band or alongside a DJ, she brings a magnetic stage presence that balances lyrical complexity with soulful delivery, humour with vulnerability, and groove with thought-provoking narrative. Her songs explore self-discovery, queerness, healing and joy, moving freely between genres without losing their connection to the pulse of hip-hop.
With New York behind her and Berlin now home, Sorvina is building a distinctive new body of work that refuses easy categorisation.
