Domingo Fantástico IX

Domingo Fantástico is a monthly live show created and hosted by Piano Rivero. Live music, conversation, humour, audience participation and audiovisual elements come together in a stage experience featuring artists from diverse backgrounds and musical traditions.

Each edition offers a different journey through genres, traditions and artistic languages, creating unexpected encounters between cultures, stories and audiences.

More than a sequence of concerts, Domingo Fantástico follows the structure of a classic variety show. Throughout the evening, live performances alternate with artist interviews, cultural recommendations and references to Berlin’s artistic scene, always leaving room for spontaneous audience participation.

Images, projections, videos and sound elements are an essential part of the show. These resources interact continuously with what happens on stage, expanding the concert experience and creating unexpected connections between music, memory and contemporary culture.

Domingo Fantástico IX
I am pleased to present a new edition of Domingo Fantástico, the music and variety series held at Donau115. Inspired by the great weekend television shows that shaped generations across Latin America and Spain, the event celebrates diversity, creativity and cultural exchange in Berlin.
This edition puts the spotlight once again on Berlin’s Spanish-language rap scene, featuring performances by Quintero MC and Carlos Shega, both appearing on the show for the first time. They are joined by Sauceedo and El Cuervo del Norte, who return to Domingo Fantástico with new performances.
Quintero MC is a Mexican rapper based in Berlin whose songs explore the experience of living away from one’s homeland, migration and encounters with other cultures. Carlos Shega has been connected to Hip Hop culture since the late 1990s and developed his career within the Canillejas scene in Madrid before moving to Berlin in 2013, where he also became involved in music production.
Spanish-language rap has already featured in previous editions of Domingo Fantástico, with artists such as Matsu and Polvo, and once again takes a prominent place in the programme.
Meanwhile, El Cuervo del Norte (Krakralot) will present a performance completely different from his previous appearance, based on ancestral songs and the memory of those who are no longer with us.
