Theon Cross

Theon Cross brings his quintet to Blue Note this December for two special shows.

One of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz, Cross has redefined the possibilities of the tuba, drawing on diasporic bass culture to transform the instrument into a 21st-century sound system powered by breath. A former member of Sons of Kemet, he has collaborated with The Smile, Little Simz, Makaya McCraven, Joy Crookes and more.

For these special shows, Theon will be joined by James Akers on sax, Nikos Ziarkas on guitar and Harry Ling on drums.
