Now based in New York City, Tabanico frequently leads his own ensemble and is an active musician in the New York jazz scene. His work intertwines the biting and clear sound of jazz legends like Eddie Harris and Dewey Redman with soulful, southwestern flair. He performs regularly with vibraphonist Joel Ross and has collaborated with many interdisciplinary artists across diverse genres, including June McDoom, Evan Wright, Nick Hakim, Moses Sumney, Drugdealer, Slauson Malone, and Wynton Marsalis.
