Wouter Kühne Trio Feat. Kit Downes and Phil Donkin

In 2017 he won the Sena Performers “Gouden Slifje”, a prize that represents one of most young promising jazz drummers of the moment. In 2019 he moved to New York City to study at the Manhattan School of Music, where musicians like Kendrick Scott, John Riley, Marc Carey and Phil Markowitz were among his regular teachers. Currently based in Amsterdam, Wouter shares the stage regularly with artists like Ben van Gelder, Jasper Blom and Harmen Fraanje. As a timbale player, he is a member of both the quartet and timba formation of Cuban Singer Evelyn Dupuy, playing traditional and modern Cuban music.
