About the Event
Following on from winning the 2022 International Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition, Julia Danielle released her debut album at the end of 2024, and performed at a myriad of prestigious festivals and venues including Blues Alley Jazz Club (DC), Smalls Jazz Club (NYC), The Jazz Showcase (Chicago), and Chris' Jazz Café (Philly). Now a graduate with a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from The Juilliard School, she stops in at Ronnie's for her UK debut.
With a long, celebrated collaboration list encompassing artists such as Ben Paterson, Clark Sommers & Dana Hall to name a few, alongside an understudy role in the hit Off-Broadway show "Going Bacharach", her experience shines through in her work, even at such an early stage in her career.
Julia will bring a distinguished group of Juilliard School graduates forming her band. Based in New York City, their shared training and artistry add exceptional depth and cohesion, bringing her music to life. The ensemble's repertoire ranges widely, from unique takes on old show tunes from the American Songbook to more modern compositions that offer observations on the state of the world today.
“She is the epitome of effortlessness and good taste in her approach to the Great American Songbook.”
