Multi percussionist Kofi Hunter is a New York-based musician whose playing is rooted in a deep connection to rhythm, improvisation, and the rich traditions of Black music. Throughout his career, he has performed alongside an eclectic range of artists spanning the spectrum of Black music, including Casey Benjamin, Marcus Gilmore, Kassa Overall, Joel Ross, Endea Owens, EJ Strickland, Luther Allison, Wyclef Jean, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, and Masego. His work reflects a commitment to musical versatility, collaboration, and honoring the lineage of the music while continuing to push its sound and possibilities forward.
