Late Late Show Upstairs with Cosmic Fusion
Lineup
About the Event
A high-energy late-night session where London’s rising stars reimagine ‘70s jazz fusion, blending vintage influence with a modern edge through fearless improvisation, shaped by the spirit of Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Weather Report and beyond.
UK drummer Jon Onabowu (Theo Croker, Venna, Bubby Lewis) leads a handpicked group of young, fired-up musicians for this weekly residency Upstairs at Ronnie’s, exploring jazz fusion from the 1970s to the present day.
From the drums, Jon drives Cosmic Fusion through dynamic, exploratory performances that showcase the full range of their musicianship, reinterpreting classic and contemporary fusion into an uplifting, accessible live experience for both dedicated jazz fans and newcomers alike.
Each week also opens the stage to emerging musicians, offering the chance to sit in with the house band and gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, live environment.
The line-up features a rotating cast of emerging talent and established musicians. Regular performers have included Rami Lakkis, Abel Addington, Kian Cardenas, Amal Shaham, Akil Henry, David Mrakpor, Insxght, Poppy Daniels, James Copus, Sam Warner, Gabriele Pribetti, Tom Waters, Roberto Manzini and Lox.
