About the Event
Grammy-winning trumpeter Nick Etwell returns with his Soul Jazz/Funk sextet The Filthy Six to celebrate their fourth album, Return of The Swagger Junkies: Vol. 1.
With credits spanning David Axelrod, Beck, Noel Gallagher and over a decade touring with Mumford & Sons, Etwell brings his passion for Black American music to the band’s distinctive blend of Soul Jazz, Funk, Blues and Latin Boogaloo.
Known for their explosive live performances, soaring horns, soulful guitar and irresistible grooves, The Filthy Six draw inspiration from classic Blue Note and Prestige recordings while embracing contemporary influences.
