Returning with his band for an electrifying night at PizzaExpress Live Holborn, the Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter and guitarist will perform new material from his Proving Me Right EP alongside special guests. Blending new wave jazz and soul with his signature funky, guitar-driven sound, Cathal’s performance is not to be missed. Cathal Murphy is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and vocalist from Northern Ireland, now based in the musical capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. His music blends soulful vocals with elements of new wave jazz, rich harmonies and guitar-driven funk, creating a sound that’s both distinctive and deeply musical. He has been featured on BBC Radio 1 as Tip of the Week, and on BBC Radio Scotland as Artist of the Week, Track of the Week and Best of the Best. Earlier this year, he opened with a live performance on BBC Northern Ireland’s music documentary series Ceolta, showcasing his live energy and musicianship. Cathal has toured across the UK, Germany and Switzerland, and has released music and performed alongside artists such as Ariel Posen, Charlie Stacey and edbl. His work has appeared in Amazon Prime film soundtracks, Aer Lingus advertising campaigns, Spotify editorial playlists and on both national and international television, including a live performance on ABC News in the United States.
