Composer and pianist Charlie Bates brings his big band to Ronnie Scott’s for a special performance featuring guest vocalists and a programme of original music. Known for his work as a composer and arranger with ensembles including NDR Big Band, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Bates has developed a distinctive voice as a writer for large ensembles, drawing together influences from jazz, orchestral music and songwriting.
