Brazilian percussionist, composer, and sonic explorer Adriano Adewale Itaúna brings a rare blend of jazz freedom and global rhythmic imagination to every performance. Renowned for transforming everyday objects into vibrant sound worlds, Adewale’s music moves effortlessly between deep-rooted Afro-Brazilian traditions, contemporary improvisation, and the open-eared curiosity that defines today’s global jazz scene.
Emma Rawicz is a young saxophonist, bandleader and composer with an astonishing musical maturity. At just 24 years of age, Rawicz has achieved a huge amount, including the release of four critically acclaimed albums “Incantation”, “Chroma”, “Big Visit” and INKYRA, extensive headline tours across 15 countries, appearances in high profile festivals and venues including concerts featuring as a soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and with the German SWR Radio Big Band at a sold out Berlin Philharmonie.

Emma says: 'I first came across Adriano at about age thirteen, when I signed up for his Brazilian percussion class at a Summer School. Despite having no prior experience in percussion or in improvisation, I felt instantly at ease in his classes, and a whole world felt like it opened up; as a result Brazilian music still holds a very special place in my heart. Above all, Adriano was the first person I came across who infused so much joy and meaning into every musical situation, and I still strive to achieve even a small part of that when I play music. This will be a very special concert with a widely varied programme and a bucket load of joy, and I can't wait to be back on stage with Adriano for the first time in many years'
