Christian and Tanja Tetzlaff, consummate solo artists and devoted chamber musicians, are joined by their regular partner Kiveli Dörken, founder and artistic director of the Molyvos International Music Festival on the Greek island of Lesbos. They bring three remarkable works to life: the violence of Beethoven's C minor Trio is matched only by its haunting lyricism, while Dvořak and Smetana's trios are both suffused with the tragedy of the loss of a child.
