'The Musicals Collection' with Denmark Street Big Band

We welcome back PizzaExpress and London Favourites, The Denmark Street Orchestra’ and a wonderful return of the amazing ‘Musicals Collection’ Concert series show called ‘Love at the Musicals’ featuring two of the finest west end vocalists, Sabrina Carter (Wicked) and Stuart Boother (Les Miserables).

A classic afternoon of Musicals songs from your favourite West end shows including Phantom, Les Misérables, Chicago, Mary Poppins and Me and My Girl. A Show not to be missed which will leave Dancing in the Aisles!!

Remember when the exciting big bands electrified audiences…

The Denmark Street Big Band recreates the swinging jazz sounds of the big band era, performing music and songs than span an entire century of music, including standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean martin,Sammy Davis Jnr, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald along with other legends of ‘The American Songbook’.

Performing these classic songs using the Billy May, Nelson Riddle and Quincy Jones arrangements and using the finest musicians and vocalists in the UK, the band will transport you back to Las Vegas and perfectly capture the unique style and sound of this fantastic era of entertainment.

Trained in Musical Theatre, Opera and Martial Art Stunts, Stuart Boother has performed lead roles in West End Theatre and Feature Films, singing and fighting around Europe, America and Asia.

From the UK, Stuart studied musical theatre in London (Mountview Academy), acting in LA (Bernard Hiller Studio), and stunts in Rome (Stunt Concept International). He has trained as an operatic Tenor for over 20 years and is a member of the prestigious British Stunt Register.

Stuart began his career in the West End, performing leading roles in Musicals (Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserables, Imagine This...), Opera’s (La Traviata, Otello, Madama Butterfly…), before moving into films (Clash of the Titans, Pirates of the Caribbean, Antman…), as both actor and stuntman. He’s performed alongside screen legends like Jenny Agutter and Johnny Depp and originated the title role in Resort World Sentosa’s multi-million dollar musical; The Lightseeker, where he sang and fought his way through impressive martial arts sequences, set to contemporary Rock Vocals!

Sabrina Carter graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, working extensively in London's West End and Internationally. She played coveted roles such as Elphaba in Wicked, Nancy in Oliver, Margaret/Annabella/Pamela in The 39 steps to name but a few. She was a member of the illustrious Kenneth Branagh theatre company and fulfilled a burning ambition to work for The National Theatre on several occasions.

On screen, Sabrina was part of the Jonathan Pie series made for the BBC as well as appearing in several award winning short films and commercials.

As a vocalist, Sabrina has travelled the length and breadth of the country performing everywhere from large scale concert venues to church's (Edinburgh Fringe)!
