Global Grooves Masterclass with Zoe Rahman

A highly individual pianist and composer, Zoe Rahman’s style is deeply rooted in jazz yet it reflects her classical background, British/Bengali heritage and her very broad musical taste.

In this special masterclass, Zoe will explore how different musical cultures and traditions can inform jazz improvisation, composition and performance. Participants will gain insight into her approach to rhythm, harmony, melody and musical interaction, with an emphasis on developing an individual voice and finding creative connections between jazz and global musical traditions.
