Geoff Simkins Quartet

Renowned saxophonist Geoff Simkins is widely regarded as one of the UK's most respected jazz musicians. Celebrated for his masterful improvisation and deeply melodic approach, his playing draws on the rich tradition of the great linear improvisers while maintaining a distinctive voice of his own.

A prolific bandleader, composer and sideman, Simkins has performed alongside an impressive roll call of jazz greats, including Art Farmer, Bobby Shew, Al Cohn, Tal Farlow, Slide Hampton and Warren Vaché. His artistry, warmth and musical integrity have earned him the admiration of audiences and fellow musicians alike.

Joining Geoff for this special concert are three of the finest musicians of their generation on the UK jazz scene: guitarist Tom Ollendorff, bassist Conor Chaplin and drummer Corrie Dick. Together, they bring a wealth of creativity, virtuosity and collective improvisational flair to an evening of inspired contemporary jazz.
