Skylar Tang

One of the most talked-about musicians of 2026, Skylar Tang is a name you should know.

At nineteen-years of age, Tang is one of the brightest young voices in the international jazz scene. She has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Sean Jones, DeeDee Bridgewater, and Rufus Reid, and was featured on Joshua Redman’s latest album, Words Fall Short. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, SFJAZZ, the Kennedy Center, Monterey Jazz Fest, Davies Symphony Hall, and more. Her international appearances include a 2-month residency at Expo 2025 Osaka, and tours in Europe and South Africa . As the winner of the 2022 Essentially Ellington’s Student Composition/Arranging Contest, she conducted and performed her original composition “Kaleidoscope” with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
