Guildhall School presents: Aigul Akhmetshina & Jonathan Palmer Lakeland

One of the most sought-after voices of her generation, opera singer Aigul Akhmetshina performs alongside versatile pianist and composer Jonathan Palmer Lakeland in a rare London recital.

Guildhall welcomes internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina and versatile pianist and composer Jonathan Palmer Lakeland for an unmissable intimate performance of Love Without Borders: A Journey in Three Chapters - ahead of their Carnegie Hall concert this November. The evening will trace a musical journey across three chapters: classical art songs, opera selections, jazz standards, film music, and Latin American repertoire.

One of opera's most compelling voices and leading musical storytellers, Akhmetshina is known for her title-role performances at the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera and Teatro Real. Lakeland has appeared in performance with singers at venues around the world, including at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and Alice Tully Hall (Lincoln Center).
