Off the back of her successful UK and Paris tour and the release of her Paul Weller-produced new single 'I Wish It Would Rain', Nia Wyn is hosting an intimate debut show at PizzaExpress Live Holborn. Expect songs inspired by the Detroit, Memphis and Philadelphia soul of the 60s and 70s with Nia's own modern twist. Welsh soul artist Nia Wyn has a talent for raw and powerful storytelling. Growing up in a small town in North Wales, Nia struggled with mental illness, isolation and confusion around her identity, taking solace in old records she found and playing guitar in her room. Inspired by the soul that came out of Philadelphia, Memphis and Detroit in the 60s and 70s, Nia writes, produces and sings songs about modern issues - queerness, neurodivergence, hard times people face in the UK, and mental health. Having released her debut album 'A Pleasure To Have In Class' in early 2025, Nia was part of AMEX Unsigned's 2025 roster, and has just released the powerful and gritty 'I Wish It Would Rain', produced by and featuring Paul Weller on backing vocals, hammond organ and guitar . Nia’s prior achievements include supporting Paul Weller, Paloma Faith, Durand Jones and Say She She, performing at Glastonbury, Greenman, Latitude, SXSW London, LIDO and Lytham Festival.
