Emma Rawicz Jazz Orchestra

Young rising star saxophonist Emma Rawicz continues to relish the challenge of writing for and leading a big band. The Emma Rawicz Jazz Orchestra (ERJO), formed in 2023, is now a fixture in her busy schedule having played a number sold out shows at Ronnie Scott’s and other London venues plus playing further afield at a number of major UK Jazz Festivals. Composition has always been a core part of Emma’s identity, and ERJO showcases her distinctive writing with a twenty piece big band made up of not just well established figures on the scene, but also fiery young musicians of Emma’s generation. Expect to hear captivating, electrifying arrangements of Emma’s music, ranging from edgy, up tempo originals through joyful Afro-Cuban inspired grooves to moving ballads. Emma, will not be putting the sax down, and will feature as a soloist as well as conducting the band.
