About the Event

Jeremy and Paul Stacey and their 14-piece big band pay tribute to the iconic sound of US jazz rock band Steely Dan.

Co-founded by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, Steely Dan sold over 40 million albums and wrote classic tracks like Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Reelin' In The Years and Hey Nineteen.

The Staceys have been around the UK's music scene since the 90s. Their collaborations have included music from the jazz world but also across rock, pop and fusion. Between them they have worked with the likes of Noel Gallagher, Sheryl Crow, Tom Jones, Madeleine Peyroux and King Crimson.

Rearranged originals from across The Dan's back catalogue will be getting a rare live workout - from early gems from their debut Can't Buy A Thrill to rarely heard deep cuts from Pretzel Logic and Gaucho.

“The Royal Scammers’ January residency at Ronnie’s has become an annual fixture… a fabulous group of musicians… tackling some of the most famous guitar, sax and drum solos in rock… rendered with swagger, accuracy and dynamism.”
